The North Shore Warhawks are on a mission to ignite the passion for hockey in girls of all ages. As the trailblazing all-girls program in the Chicago area, we provide an electrifying and supportive arena where players from 8U to 19U can hone their skills and soar together.
Our journey took flight over five years ago, when the visionary minds of Tom Gullen and Rich Blakey united the Winnetka and Northbrook hockey communities to forge a powerhouse of girls' hockey. Starting with just 61 players, the Warhawks have rocketed to glory, making their mark in the Illinois State Championship and the Girls National Championship Tournament by their second year. Today, as an independent force, we proudly field over 150 fierce and unstoppable girls!

Our mission is to develop young women into formidable athletes, leaders, and respected members of society through a competitive hockey environment that champions life values like teamwork, sportsmanship, work ethic, and respect.

Our vision is to be the premier all female hockey program in the Central District of USA Hockey for Tier 2 offering competitive and development Tier 2 girls hockey programing with a best-in-class skills development lead by enthusiastic and skilled coaches.

OUR HISTORY
UNSTOPPABLE TOGETHER: THE ELECTRIFYING RISE OF THE NORTH SHORE WARHAWKS!
Our story isn't just ink on a page; it's a testament to resilience and unity. In the spring of 2017, the Northbrook Hockey League (NBHL) and Winnetka Hockey Club (WHC) merged their programs, they didn't just form a team; they created a movement. Their mission: to create a powerhouse program that would forever change the landscape of girls' hockey in the Chicago area.
Facing fierce competition and the lure of Tier 1 teams, the NBHL and WHC refused to back down. United by a shared vision, they merged their girls' programs to form the unstoppable North Shore Warhawks (WARriors and BlueHAWKS). This bold move, championed by both boards, led to the establishment of an independent entity called the North Shore Warhawks.
Through trials and triumphs, the Warhawks stood strong. Over 30 girls battled for spots, and while adversity threatened, competitive teams emerged. Our journey is proof that dreams become reality through dedication. The North Shore Warhawks epitomize the power of teamwork and the triumph over obstacles. Together, we've forged a path for those who dared to dream differently, a path you can be a part of.
